THE airport approach road is in urgent need of repair Coun Bill Pagin warned the December meeting.
Coun Pagin told Doncaster Council road safety engineer Ralph Marshall, who attended to report on highways issues, that Hurst Lane is "an utter death trap".

He said the problem was caused by lorries pulling in and out of a layby on the road, which is used by airport traffic, and breaking up the road surface.

Airport owners Peel are currently consulting on plans to increase the amount of freight flown in and out of Robin Hood over the coming decades.
